This 2 disk DVD set focuses on the 4 main Highland Dances, namely the Highland Fling, Sword Dance, Seann Triubhas and the Reel, covering most of the movements, steps, introductions and endings used in competition today.
The dances are broken down step-by- step and then movement-by-movement with the dancers demonstrating ‘good technique’ accompanied by a technical commentary
Volume 1 includes demonstrations of selected steps & movements plus interviews with Deryck & Gareth on general technical issues and tips on how to avoid some of the more common faults.
Volume 2 is the companion to DVD 1 and contains detailed demonstrations of the steps & movements not included in DVD 1 to provide a comprehensive visual library of nearly all of the technique used in Highland competition today.
