the Dance with Fire concert - MC

We are very fortunate to have as the Master of Ceremonies for the Dance with Fire concert - Mr Billy Forsyth.

Billy's considerable involvement in Highland Dancing dates back over 50 years and covers such a range of activities that I could not really do it justice on a single page.

However, to give you a small insight I have listed below a select items from his extensive biography:

- Twice winner of the World Highland Dancing Championships
- Director of the Edinburgh Tattoo Highland Ceilidh Dancers
- held the position of Chairman of the SOBHD for almost 25 years, after which he was elected as Honorary President (a position which he held for 12 years)
- SOBHD adjudicator
- Founder Member & Director of the Scottish Traditions of Dance Trust
- has extensive experience as a performer, manager and director of stage, arena, television and cabaret shows in Scotland and around the World

In addition to the above, Billy has acted as MC at many notable Highland Dancing events - including the World Championships at Cowal, the Canadian Interprovincial Championhips and many more.

We are very fortunate to have Billy as MC for our Dance with Fire Concert and we are sure that we will all benefit from his experience in introducing the dancers and the concert.
