toeandheel.com is a website platform only. It provides the technical infrastructure for online competition entry forms but does not organise competitions or manage entries beyond facilitating their submission to Competition Organisers.
toeandheel.com is committed to processing any personal information it holds only in ways that are fair, transparent and meet its legal obligations, in accordance with the Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
toeandheel.com will take particular care over email addresses which, in addition to the GDPR, are subject to the Privacy and Electronic Communication Regulations (PECR).
We DO:
- Provide a website platform for online entry forms
- Collect information you enter into our forms
- Transmit that information securely to Competition Organisers
- Use Google Analytics to understand website usage (anonymously)
We DO NOT:
- Organise or run competitions
- Manage competition entries after submission
- Correct errors in information you have entered
- Act as an intermediary between you and Competition Organisers
- Store detailed competition entry data long-term (this is managed by Competition Organisers)

- Used for limited, specifically stated purposes
- Used in a way that is adequate, relevant and not excessive
- Accurate
- Kept for no longer than is absolutely necessary
- Kept safe and secure

The legislation requires a clear legal basis for processing personal information. In general, toeandheel.com relies on the individual's consent to process their data. Where there are exceptions such as a legal obligation, contractual agreement or legitimate interest, these will be noted below.
Please note that if consent is withdrawn, the level of service we can offer might be severely curtailed.
When someone visits toeandheel.com, we use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to understand things such as the number of visitors to various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone.
When you use our online entry forms, we collect the following information on behalf of Competition Organisers:
- Entrant's name
- Age
- Contact details (postal and email)
- RSOBHD registration number
- Dance teacher's name
- Details of the competition and section being entered
Important: You are responsible for ensuring all information entered is accurate. toeandheel.com does not check, verify, or correct information you enter. Any requests to correct spelling mistakes, change age groups, or modify entry details must be made directly to the Competition Organiser.
This information is forwarded to the relevant Competition Organiser so that your entry can be processed. Once transmitted, the Competition Organiser becomes the data controller for this information.
Data Sharing: This information is made available by secure data download to the competition organiser of the event being entered. Each competition organiser has their own privacy policy which you should read:

We will not use your email address to send you e-news and marketing items.
There are various forms on the website used to collect information. That information is only used for the stated purposes described in the relevant sections of this Privacy Notice.
PayPal is used to take payments. Only sufficient information to complete the payment is shared with PayPal. See the "Third Parties" section below for more information.
toeandheel.com does not see or retain your credit card details as these are handled by PayPal.
We will retain your personal data for no longer than the period of time needed for the purposes for which we collected the data and for as long as we have legal grounds to retain it. There is no fixed period after which all records of your personal data will be deleted, as this will depend on the circumstances and the purposes of the processing. However, we will take steps and maintain policies to keep retention under proper review. We will not seek your consent before deleting any personal data.
Data processors are third parties who provide services for us. We have contracts in place with our data processors. This means that they cannot do anything with your personal information unless we have instructed them to do it. They will not share your personal information with any organisation apart from us. They will hold it securely and retain it for the period we instruct.
We use third-party services, Joker.com and Fasthosts.co.uk, to host our website. Joker.com is contractually obliged to treat any information on our private website as confidential and only use such information for the purpose of providing toeandheel.com with web hosting.
Where PayPal is used to take payments, only sufficient information to complete the purchase is shared with PayPal. toeandheel.com does not see or retain your credit card details as these are handled by PayPal.
